An exciting opportunity exists for a Sales Admin Manager at National Brands Limited, to be based in Bryanston. This role will role will be responsible to support the sales team in achieving targets through sales analysis, reporting, forecasting and process management.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Sales Executive
Key Areas of Impact:

Evaluate sales performance:
  • Ensure that NBL achieves the required sales targets through compiling, evaluating, identifying, and analysing sales reports, to put actions in place to close all potential gaps.
  • Identify, investigate and understand sales spikes and declines.
  • Gap analysis.
  • New innovation distribution and performance.

Reporting and analysis:

  • Assist in any form or type of reporting/analysis to enable the NBL Sales Team to deliver NBL’s financial objectives.
  • Compile daily, weekly and monthly sales-in reports.
  • Compile mid-month and month end sales commentary.
  • Measure and track claims (damaged and expired) and free stock on a monthly basis.
  • Compile, update and distribute price increase trackers, incentive trackers and big hit trackers.
  • Compile and update cycle brief sales information.
  • Draw and analyse sales out data (Nielsen, POS, and Insights etc.) and make recommendations accordingly.
Manage demand forecasting:
  • Manage and influence demand forecasting from a sales perspective to ensure that NBL has optimal stock available.
  • Complete pre-forecasting monthly, per category, 4 months in advance.
  • Meet with the Planning team monthly to sign off the submitted sales forecast.
  • Achieve 82% sales forecast accuracy on a monthly basis.
  • Examine and understand trends between past forecasts and actual performance.
  • Ensure all customer forecasts are incorporated in the overall sales forecast.
  • Record all anomalies regarding sales that will affect the future sales base.
  • Report top five (5) SKU anomalies regarding customer promotions and communicate this to the Sales team.
  • Develop and maintain a customer promotional grid to support forecast changes.
  • Update innovation workflows with the sales forecast and volume phasing.
  • Work closely with the Planning team on a daily basis to understand service level issues and communicate this to the Sales team accordingly.
Manage processes to reduce short-dated stock:
  • Manage short-dated stock nationally across AVI DCs.
  • Compile, update and distribute a short-dated stock report, by region, on a weekly basis to the NBL sales team.
  • Ensure that action is taken on aged stock, in conjunction with the Sales Executive/ Regional Sales Manager, and keep a record of all transactions.
  • Maintain AVI DC expired stock at 0.035% of GSV.
Manage and develop the Sales Analyst:
  • Manage the Sales Analyst, to support the Sales Team.
  • Develop and mentor the Sales Analyst in line with NBL standards.
Manage the sales budget process:
  • Manage the sales budget process quarterly (setting accurate budgets, quarterly adjustments on budget etc.).
  • Attend PF meetings with the Sales Executive and the Finance Team.
  • Run checks and balances in conjunction with IT before PF budgets are published.
  • Communicate all updates to the Sales Team.
Manage Master Data:
  • Manage, update and maintain Master Data on SAP.
  • Maintain accurate store universe.
  • Check and update new store openings/ name changes.
  • Open new AVI FM Rep codes.
  • Update AVI FM Rep codes changes/ cluster movement.

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:    
  • A minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in a similar role
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
  • Completed B.Com Degree in Business Science or similar
Knowledge:
  • Strong business writing skills, including reports and formal documentation
  • High level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Market information tools - Nielsen, Power BI, SPAR Accelarate, ASK'd
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Advanced SAP knowledge
