Step Into a Role That Makes an Impact! We’re seeking a Storeman to drive success at NBL Isando Biscuits in Kempton Park, Gauteng. This role is designed to execute the receiving, counting, safeguarding, issuing and disposal of stock items to and from the store.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Engineering Stores Controller
Key Areas of Impact:
- Maintaining physical control and organization of inventory within assigned areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and security.
- Accurately counting and recording stock received and issuing according to procedures.
- Performing regular cycle counts and participating in full stock takes and reconciliations.
- Keeping stock items always organized and readily accessible for efficient retrieval.
- Inspecting spares in stock for defects or damage and reporting findings promptly to the stores team leader.
- Conducting investigations into stock discrepancies and reporting findings to the stores team leader.
- Maintaining accurate administrative records of inventory and stock management.
- Tracking inventory movements, creating reports.
- Assisting in the design, development, and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by Stores team leader.
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- 2-3 years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, and proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, Pastel)
- Excellent MS Office skills
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
- Grade 12 certificate (or N3) with Mathematics
- Certificate in supply chain/logistics will be an advantage.
Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
- Must be able to be flexible and be available when required.
- Must be able to work overtime as when required.
- Must be able to perform any other reasonable duties as when required.
